Raised Ranch House Plans - Raised Ranch Home Plans - Raised Ranch Floor Plans
The raised ranch home plan is a recently popular variation of the Ranch house plan and has two levels. A split-entry plan generally has a main floor with all the living spaces including the kitchen, dining room, living room and bedrooms, and a partially submerged basement. The front door leads to an entryway between the two levels, with stairs leading up and down. The raised ranch house plan makes great use of space and is most popular in the north. Raised ranch house plans are also great speculation homes for builders as they are typically less expensive to build and offer better living space on two levels.
Building characteristics and property considerations:
A Raised Ranch is a single floor house where the garage and foyer are at the same height but the main floor is approximately 4 foot out of the ground.
- This is a good home for higher water tables.Â
- These homes are also great for living space in the lower level because of egress windows from 3 sides of the house.Â
- If there's a slop to the property a walkout is easily accommodated with little to no fill.
